About Robert M. Mock, JR., Attorney at Law

Robert M. Mock, Jr. (Robbie), grew up in Sylvania, Georgia.  He attended Screven County High School, before dividing his undergraduate time between The Georgia Institute of Technology and Georgia Southern University, where he earned a BBA in Accounting and a Master of Accounting.

He then attended Mercer University School of Law.  Upon graduation, Robbie worked for Stone and Driggers, LLC, a premier family law and civil litigation firm in Macon, Georgia.  While working there, Robbie was mentored by two outstanding attorneys, Kice H. Stone and B. Dave Driggers.

Robbie moved to practice law in Statesboro in 2012, with his sister-in-law, and excellent attorney, Jennifer C. Mock.  In 2014, he joined another excellent attorney, Matthew K. Hube.

On September 15, 2018, Robbie formed his own firm, Robert M. Mock, Jr., Attorney at Law, LLC.

Licensure

Robbie is licensed to practice in all courts in Georgia. He has argued before the Supreme Court of Georgia, tried family and criminal cases, including federal court.

As of mid – 2018, Robbie has served as the solicitor for the Sylvania Municipal Court, in Screven County. Prior to that role, Robbie served as public defender in the same court for approximately a year.

Robbie's Mindset

Robbie’s approach to the practice of law involves aggressively advocating for each client, while treating fellow attorneys with respect.  Robbie knows that each client is facing a very important situation, whether that be a family, criminal, or other civil issue, and Robbie takes that very seriously.  Robbie gives friendly, honest advice to each prospective client, including strategy as to how to pursue or defend a case, and the costs and benefits of such strategy.  Robbie will also be up-front and honest if someone does not need an attorney, or if the issue is likely not worth pursuing.

In the practice of law, a lawyer’s reputation is ultimately most important.  Robbie strives to work hard for each client, giving him or her, and the case,  the attention they deserve.  Robbie also appreciates the value that Matt and the firm as a whole place on reputation and maintaining the highest of ethical standards and client service.

Being a successful attorney involves the constant study of law.  Robbie studies weekly updates of case law and other materials, including practice guides, as well. He also attends various continuing legal education courses to ensure that he stays up-to-date on the law and legal trends.
